CUSTOM-MADE FINE ART PIGMENT PRINTS

For discerning customers who want large prints, we offer individually hand-crafted Fine Art Pigment Prints, a.k.a. giclee prints. Only images displayed in the Fine Art Gallery of our website are available for custom printing. Please be advised that to see colors online that are reasonably close to those in our prints, you will need to view our images on a high-quality monitor, preferably color-calibrated.

We use state of the art pigment-based inkjet technology with archival specialty papers, or canvas, selected to best enhance each image, printed on surfaces ranging from matte to luster. Among our favorite papers at the moment is Hahnemuehle Photo Rag, a heavy weight, acid-free paper with faithful color tonality, depth, and detail. Though expensive, its exceptional quality is clear.

CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY :: Every custom-made Fine Art Print is shipped with a Certificate of Authenticity which provides notes about the image; technical specs of the print; print number; name of the buyer; purchase price, date, and place; and the signature and seal of the photographer. At this time, we are not offering Limited Edition prints.

CANVAS PRINTS :: In creating our canvas prints, we use museum-grade canvas that provides absolutely the best color reproduction, clarity, and longevity attainable. Satin varnish sprayed on our canvas prints provides UV and humidity protection and makes them easy to clean with a damp sponge.

All of our largest prints are made on canvas because they are easy to ship and care for. Most frame shops can gallery-wrap your canvas on wooden stretcher bars, providing a beautiful, lightweight, ready-to-hang piece of artwork without glass or framing. Yet a frame can be added if you prefer. We print with "gallery-wrapping" in mind, i.e. the image will cover the exposed edges of the wooden stretcher frame.

FILM FORMAT AND PRINT SIZE :: Many of our digital Master Printing Files are derived from film scans of 6cmx7cm medium format transparencies, 6cmx17cm panoramic transparencies, or 35mm transparencies. Others begin as high-resolution RAW files captured by digital cameras. Consequently, our Master Files vary considerably in size; but we will not offer prints that exceed the aesthetic limits of the file with which we are working. For this reason not all sizes listed in our size/price table below are available for every image.

MATTING :: Prints on fine art paper are mounted on 6-ply rag conservation board and matted with white 8-ply, acid-free mat board.

PACKAGING :: Each unmatted print is inserted in a clear plastic sleeve and rolled for shipping. Matted prints are tissue-covered and shrink-wrapped before boxing for added protection. Large pre-stretched canvas prints usually require custom-made shipping cartons.

SHIPPING :: Please note that prices given above do not include shipping and special handling, charges that will be calculated when your order is placed. Rolled prints are shipped in a tube via FedEx or UPS within the United States (for overseas orders, extra charges may apply). Matted or pre-stretched prints might require a custom carton/crate, which can be expensive to make and ship.

Shipping and handling charges are not refundable. Prints must be returned in original protective packaging in mint condition within two weeks after delivery to your home or office. Shipping damage must be resolved with the carrier by the recipient.
